I dug through the steamed oysters we had Christmas afternoon.  Have been waiting a whole year for a new batch.  The colors and textures of an individual shell provide so many nuances to paint. 

Just found out that I sold this painting at the Beaufort Linen Company.  Can't wait to hear who bought it.
